Helpful FAQs
How do I book a skip through your website?
Simply call the telephone number at the top of every page. It will transfer you to a recommended local skip hire company in Liverpool.
Can you help me choose the right skip?
Our friendly team will be happy to advise you over the phone or by email if that’s easier for you. We have a full range of skips from small mini skips to large commercial roll on and off containers so give us a ring and let’s get you sorted!
Do you cover the whole of Merseyside?
We offer a comprehensive service covering Liverpool City and surrounding areas. This includes Sefton, Knowsley, St. Helens and the Wirral.
I need to place the skip on the road, is that legal?
It’s not always possible to have a skip delivered on your property but in order to have it placed on the road outside your house you are required to have a local council permit. We can arrange this for you when you book your skip or check out the government web page on permits:
https://www.gov.uk/apply-skip-permit
Do you offer same day same pick service?
Normally this is no problem, we can arrange one day skip hire but it’s best to call our hotline and check on availability.
I care about the environment, where does my waste go?
We recycle as much as possible, sometimes it’s 100% of the load. At least, 90% gets recycled via our Licenced recycling centre.
Are your skips suitable for house clearances?
Our skips are perfect for all kinds of domestic waste removals including house clearances. Many people order a skip when they are selling a house, redecorating because of change of tenancy or because a loved one has passed away and the house is being sold.
How full can I fill the skip?
For safety reasons, never fill a skip above the safe level which is flush at the top. Using waste such as pallets or fences to extend the height of the skip may result in refusal from the driver to collect the container from site. Over loaded skips are unsafe because debris could fall off during transportation back to the depot.
How long before you pick the skip back up?
You can ten tell us how long you need the skip for when ordering. If your plans change and you need to shorten or lengthen your skip hire then please call us – we will do our best accommodate your needs.
Is anything I cannot put in the skip?
Our skip hire service is for general waste only – items on the banned list include: fridges, car tyres, freezers, paint tins, batteries, gas bottles, hazardous solvents and oil.
If in doubt contact your local council to arrange pick up of large kitchen appliances, your local refuse centre will be able to advise on how to dispose of hazardous waste.
How wide does my driveway have to be?
Usually around 10 feet is sufficient for us to deliver a skip but please check while you book. Sometimes we can deliver skips to narrower drives by “dropping” the skip into place from our vehicles.
